Frequently asked questions
The things we get asked most.
With the short answers. If yours isn't here, write to us at hola@vinte.plus.
If you're here to shop
Vinté+ doesn't sell clothes. It tells you where they are, whether the shop is open and what's inside; the purchase happens at the counter.
Is Vinté+ an online shop?
No. It's a directory of real-world vintage and second-hand clothing shops. There's no basket, no shipping, and nothing is paid for inside the app.
What you can do is see what each shop carries, put a piece on hold and drop by to pick it up.
How do holds work?
You reserve the piece from the app and it's kept for you for 48 hours. During that time it disappears from everyone else's view, so nobody makes the trip for nothing.
It isn't a purchase and doesn't oblige you to buy. If you don't come by, the hold expires on its own and the piece goes back into the catalogue.
Holds come with the Pro plan and up, so not every shop in the directory offers them.
Why can't I see the catalogue on the website?
Here you see who the shop is, where it is, when it opens and how many pieces it has live. The pieces themselves — photos, sizes, prices — live in the app.
That's a decision, not a limitation: the shop window is what the app does well — it travels with you, nudges you when you walk past, and lets you hold a piece — and splitting it across two places makes it worse in both.
Do I need an account?
To browse the directory and the map, no. To save shops and hold pieces, yes — both need to follow you from one phone to the next.
What's the virtual try-on?
A generated image that shows you how a piece would look on, based on a photo of yourself. It's only available at shops on the Premium or Custom plan.
The photo you upload isn't stored: it's used to generate the result and then discarded.
What does “Vintage Verificado” mean?
That the shop is on a Premium or Custom plan, which means a reviewed listing and a stronger commitment to the catalogue it publishes.
It isn't a certificate of authenticity for each piece: the shop is always the one who answers for what it sells.
If you run a shop
Being in the directory is free. What you pay for is the shop window: catalogue, holds and counter tools.
How much does it cost to be on Vinté+?
Appearing on the map and in the directory with your listing, opening hours and link is free, and it doesn't expire.
From there, the plans add catalogue, holds, stats and counter tools. Prices are on the pricing page, with VAT already included: what you see is what you're charged, and the invoice breaks out the 21% within.
How do I list my shop?
Through the sign-up form on this site. Every listing is reviewed by hand before going live — which is why it isn't instant — and you get an email when it's approved.
The review exists so the directory doesn't fill up with duplicate listings or businesses that aren't what they claim to be.
Who uploads the catalogue, and how long does it take?
You do, from the app. There are two paths: the Assistant, which photographs, crops and writes the listing in one pass, and “Do it yourself”, for shops that already photograph their own way and don't want anyone touching their image.
Nothing publishes itself. Each piece goes live when you approve it, and you can schedule the day and time you want it out.
Does Vinté+ take a commission on my sales?
No. There's no commission, no payments inside the app, and we don't broker the sale. You charge, at your counter, as you always have.
The only money that passes through here is your plan's fee.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Yes, whenever you like, from your panel. If you move down a plan you lose that tier's features, but your listing and your shop stay in the directory.
What happens to my photos and data if I leave?
They're yours. You can download your catalogue from the panel, and when the shop closes its listing is removed from the directory along with its content.
Data and privacy
The short version: the bare minimum, and nothing that isn't needed to make this work.
Do you sell my data or build advertising profiles?
No, neither. There's no advertising on Vinté+ and no data is passed to third parties for commercial purposes.
Why does it ask for my location?
To sort shops by distance and, if you turn it on, to nudge you when you walk past one you've saved. It's optional and can be switched off at any time without losing anything else.
How do I delete my account?
From the app itself, in your profile, without writing to anyone or waiting for a reply. What's yours gets deleted.
The detail of what's processed, why and for how long is in the privacy policy.
Still wondering?
A person answers, not a form that goes nowhere. And if you run a shop and want to see it before deciding, we're happy to show you around, no strings attached.
